Love has no language. Yes, that’s right as my love for poetry goes beyond reading just one language. I love to read English, Hindi and Urdu poems.
So, this December on one cold evening with a cup of chai in my hand, I suddenly got into the mood for reading some Hindi poetry.
I searched my shelf, and came across this book named "कुछ शब्द और : क्यूंकि काफी कुछ कहना है"
It is a collection of over 45 poems in the Hindi language by a new emerging writer in town, Divye Mittal.
Divye's poems have the quality of beautifying even the simplest of things. In this book, he writes about a spectrum of things including love, societal problems, nature, women empowerment etc. The list goes on.
The poet has a creative insight into his writing. One of his poems “Aaj se bees saal baad” talks about the imaginary situation when two lovers meet after 20 years.
He also writes on the most needed topic for this generation, which is ‘Self-love.’
One of my favourite lines from the poem “Aatm Prem...” are-
जब देखूं मैं खुद को आईने में,
तो ख़ुशी से सरोबार हो जाऊँ|
मुस्कुराऊँ मैं खुल कर कुछ ऐसे,
की रुक कर भी मैं रुक न पाऊँ|
Divye's style of writing is smooth and convincing.
The cover of "Kuch Shabd Aur" is such an eye-pleasing aesthetic. Infact, the title of the book is also well thought of.
So, if you are looking for a comfort happy read, I guarantee you this book is the one. Go for it!
5/5 stars.
